On 22 May 2026, NexaSphere participated in the SNS JU Projects Panel at the International Conference on Telecommunications (ICT 2026), joining researchers, innovators, and stakeholders from across the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking ecosystem.
Babak Mafakheri, NexaSphere Project Coordinator from RAVE Aerospace, presented the project’s latest progress and key findings on 6G Non-Terrestrial Networks. His presentation highlighted NexaSphere’s approach to supporting critical transportation verticals, including civil aviation, railways, and automotive, as well as the project’s roadmap towards upcoming Proof-of-Concept demonstrations.
The session was moderated by Tomaso de Cola, NexaSphere Technical Manager from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and provided a valuable opportunity for exchange on the future evolution of smart networks and services.
ICT 2026 brought together the broader telecommunications community for insightful discussions, presentations of cutting-edge research, and reflections on the path towards 6G. NexaSphere was pleased to contribute to these important conversations and to share its perspective on the role of NTN in enabling future connected mobility.
