The NexaSphere consortium gathered in Naples for a productive two-day plenary meeting focused on aligning technical progress, strengthening collaboration, and refining the project roadmap.
 
Day 1 featured updates across key work packages, beginning with an overview of project coordination and technical management. Partners presented progress on hardware developments, including LiFi, Free-Space Optics, and avionic/automotive antenna systems. The software and algorithmic tracks highlighted advancements in disaggregated RAN, multi-connectivity approaches, Compound AI & Prediction model, and TN/NTN handover solutions. The day concluded with presentations outlining the planned Proof-of-Concepts for aviation, automotive, and rail use cases.
 
Day 2 opened with a deep dive into the design and development of the 3D edge–cloud continuum. This was followed by presentations on orchestrator design, AI-driven serverless orchestration, and the data pipeline system for NTN. The day followed by a collaborative session on the overall NexaSphere system architecture which ensured alignment across partners. The meeting concluded with an overview of dissemination and communication activities, summarizing progress and outlining upcoming plans.
 
The two-day meeting fostered strong technical alignment and reinforced cooperation across the consortium. The NexaSphere team looks forward to continuing this momentum as the project advances.
